Roommates

Well when I started this blog I had decided to blog about anything and everything (the name of my blog). But as of today I have not blogged about any movies. So I just watched a new movie awhile ago, so I decided to blog about it.

The name of the movie is "Roommates" and it stars Peter Falk, D. B. Sweeney (my favorite actor), Julianne Moore and Ellen Burstyn. Also William H. Macy makes a small appearance in the movie as a brain surgeon. The movie was released in 1995 and is 108 minutes long.

Roommates is not only hilarious, but a real tearjerker. I know for sure that I had more laugh out loud moments then the tears welling up in my eyes. But I think I would have cried more if I wasn't such a hard shell person.

One funny part of the movie (even though you out there in blog land won't find this funny) was that part of the movie was based out of Columbus, Ohio. The reason why I thought this was funny is this was the first time D. B. Sweeney has been associated with Columbus. The second time that he was mated up with the city was when he appeared in the short lived TV show "Harsh Realm." Just a little D. B. Sweeney trivia for you all. As far as I know these are the only two occasions that he has something to do with Columbus, Ohio. If anyone out there knows of any other movies or TV shows that has something to do with D. B. and Columbus, just let me know.

If anyone would want to read more about this movie, here is the link to imdb.com. (Roommates Link)

Live TV!!!

Well isn't live TV something interesting. Last season Heather Mills fell on the live broadcast of Dancing with the Stars. This season Jenni Garth's partner fell. But last night Marie Osmond fainted on live television. Thanks Marie for giving everyone in the audience and the TV audience a heart attack, just kidding. I will say when it happened I was really scared, so I did the only thing I knew I could do, so I prayed for her. She will have a full medical examination before next week's show. I will say that Marie's partner Jonathan Roberts was a real trooper last night. At the end of the show when everyone stands out on the dance fell, well poor Jonathan held onto Marie. I think he was afraid she might slip through his arms again. But here is the video of what happened last night.

OH MY!!!

My friends took me and my mom out to a Chinese restaurant yesterday. I love Chinese food, especially if you get so tired eating the same foods over and over and over again. But I wanted to tell you one thing that I ate. First the story....

So we get there and we get our table, so me and my friend Trish goes to get our food off the buffet. This buffet has over a hundred items. So for me this was so exciting. So I get something which I think is mushrooms. I get back to the table and I start looking my food over and then it hits me, mushrooms don't have legs. I was not sure what I was going to eat, but I ate it anyway.

After I ate one my friend went and looked to see what I just ate. So she comes back and she tells me that what I just ate was octopus. And to tell the truth it was great. I also tried sushi, but it was nasty.

How Long Has It Been????

Q. How do you know how long it has been since you cleaned you computer tower????

A. When you can't figure out how to take the computer tower apart.

This problem happened to me and my dad tonight.

On Sunday night I was looking for a CD. For some odd reason I thought it might be in my CD burner so when I opened it up there was no CD just dust. I know I should have cleaned it.

So tonight I get a couple of bottles of air. (John from Wal-Mart told me to go outside and bottle the wind that was blowing. I wish I could have done that.) So we get home and I turn my computer off and I let it rest for a little while. Then we come in my room to clean it and to save our lives, we could not figure out how to take it apart. I actually made the statement, "lets call Uncle Bill." Then in my head I thought maybe I should call my cousin Marcy. But we got it apart and cleaned it. I know stupid story, but it could happen to you.

So what is the lesson???? CLEAN IT!!!!! Those things get dusty.

Also congratulations to my cousin Marcy for winning a autographed copy of a Lance Storm DVD. You Go Girl!!!!!!

Dance, Dance, Dance!!!

Well Monday was the start of the new season "Dancing with the Stars". I love the show. I sort of already had decided that I was going to root for Cameron Mathison (aka Ryan on All My Children), but after watching the show on Tuesday, I might also root for Helio Castroneves. My mom fell in love with Albert Reed (a model), but she is also for Wayne Newton.

This year on Dancing with the Stars the women have been saying that a woman will win on the show. HELLO!!! How many women watch the show??? I mean I naturally root for the men stars. Unless my favorite professional dancer Louis van Amstel is dancing with some woman star. I think the women are setting themselves up for a big fall. But then again I could be wrong.

Also I have a question for you Nascar fans. What Nascar driver died in a helicopter crash?? I was reading a book and they said something about this Nascar driver, but they did not mention any names. I will be very thankful if someone could answer my question.

I shared this picture with my friends on Myspace. I thought some of you would like to see it. I think this is one of the funniest pictures of Tony Stewart. I hope you get a good laugh from it.

What are you doing Tony????

Rain, Rain, Go Away!

Rain, rain, go away, come again another day was probably the exact statement I was making last night. Even if last night was the Bristol race, I didn't care about it because my family and I went to the local dirt track. I really like the dirt track, it is great. I like to be right up front and have the rocks and dirt hit you right in the face. Also the smells and sounds and the action going on. I know I sound weird, but I have always liked it.

So we watched qualifying and then they started hot laps. I think after the first set of hot laps the announcer said the track that is a hour away had to quit because of rain. Everyone started to get worried, but they kept going. Then it hit us and we just stayed there in the rain.

About 10:30 p.m. they finally told us that they would not be able to race. So we left, but they had so many people there that we had to wait, so we just sit there in the van. Then I heard someone say something about Bristol and my brain started working. I told my dad to turn the radio on. So we listened to the race. We had fun though. They rescheduled for September, but knowing my luck for this summer it will rain again. I mean I went to Cedar Point the first part of August and I thought we would get rained out then. What is it with me and rain???

I'm liking you a little bit.....

Well any sane NASCAR fan will tell you that most people don't like the Busch brothers. I have even made the statement that I thought about finding a new driver and team to support next year because of Kyle Busch. But after Tuesday, my thoughts on Kyle has changed a little. It is all because he said that he is a fan of my favorite college football team, THE MICHIGAN WOLVERINES!!! And if your down with the Wolverines, then your OK in my book.

Baby Gordon.....

Today while I was talking to my cousin on the phone, he said something about Jeff Gordon. So that got me to wondering if there was any pictures of Baby Ella on the Internet. So I went to Gordon's website and sure enough there are pictures. She is a beautiful baby and she looks like her mom and her dad (God Bless her heart, lol). Even if she looks like Jeff, I still think she is beautiful. Here is the link to Baby Ella's photos. Notice the last picture, Baby Ella has some big hands. Could we say that she might be a future Nascar driver with good hand control??

Nothing much is what's up!!!!!

Well I have just been sort of relaxing today. My mom and I took my dog for a walk this morning, but it is so hot. I have been listening and watching the race off and on since it has been on. But mostly I have been making wallpaper for my computer. I have made three, one of D. B. Sweeney, my favorite actor. Also one of Vincent Corazza and Simon Baker, also actors. Here is what they look like...

Campmeeting Day 6

Well tonight is the last night of campmeeting. It goes so fast. We had a another great night. I think we had are biggest crowd there tonight. We had people saved tonight and people rededicating their lives back to God and Christian people getting help.

Tonight Brian preached and he preached from Matthew 14:13-21. His main text was from v. 16 (They need not depart.). He talked about Jesus feeding the multitude. Also he preached about the woman touching the hem of Jesus' garment, Moses parting the Red Sea, Samson killing 1000 men with a jaw bone and the widow and son that all they had left was a handful of meal. Brian did a awesome job tonight.

Well since campmeeting is over I guess I will have to go back to listening to Brian on CDs and off the Internet. I am sort of sad that campmeeting is over. : ( I really enjoy campmeeting. Tomorrow we will have our Sunday School Rally so that will be fun, I might do a blog tomorrow about that.

Campmeeting Day 5

Tonight was also another awesome night. Cal Ray preached about shouting. The title of his message was "Is Shouting in the Scriptures." He read from Psalm 47:1, Psalm 32:11, Psalm 35:27, and Isaiah 12:6 all these scriptures have something to do with shouting.

He gave five points about shouting they are, Shout without the clout. Shout that brings the rout. Shout without a doubt. The Shout that brought us out. And last but not least, The Shout that will take us out. During his second point he talked about Joshua and the children of Israel marching around Jericho and when he was talking about this, Brian stood up and started blowing a ram's horn. Then everyone started to Praise the Lord.

We then had different men carrying the Christian flag around. At one time some guys I know were running around the church carrying the Christian flag. It was so great. Then close to the end of church everyone was sticking around, so they did not know what to do because no one was leaving. So Cal Ray had this guy come up on the stage and Cal Ray, Brian Baer, Mike Blanton, and this other guy all started singing. They did a good job. I never knew Cal Ray could sing and he is a good singer also.

Campmeeting Day 4

WOW!!! That is all I can really say, tonight was awesome. Paul didn't preach because we had such a great service. Tonight was Red, White, and Blue night, so everyone wore those colors. The choir started the church service singing "God Bless America" and while they were singing my pastor went and got the American flag. Then he went to the microphone and asks this girl that will be leaving for Iraq tomorrow to come and hold the flag, while we said the Pledge of Allegiance. Then after this was done my pastor told of a young man from one of the churches who had already left for Iraq. I thought that was really nice what Pastor Darren did.

The singers started singing and the girl who is going to Iraq came to the altar and had people pray for her. Then some more people went to the altar. We were all having a good time and the singers were going to stop singing, but we told them to keep singing. So they did and more people went to the altar. We had one person saved, maybe more. We also had a young boy accept the call to preach. I knew something was going on with this young boy because he kept going to the altar, he was running from the call. But thank God he quit running tonight. We all had a great time.

I forgot to tell about what I gave Brian last night. I had heard Brian say one time while preaching that when he witnesses to people, he first finds out what they are interested in. So he said if they like Nascar then they talk about Jeff Gordon or how much he does not like Jeff Gordon. But the funniest thing is Brian knows nothing about Nascar. So last night I wrote out stats about my favorite driver Tony Stewart and I gave them to him. I told him that most people don't like my driver. Then he looked down at the paper and he said, "I like this guy, because people say I look like him." I looked at Brian and I could not believe I had not noticed it before. I sort of felt stupid giving him the stats, but after I gave them to him, I was glad because he seemed truly excited about me giving them to him.

Tomorrow night (I mean tonight) Cal Ray Evans will preach. Unless we have another service like we had tonight.

Campmeeting Day 3

Tonight was a very good night, I really enjoyed myself. I had already sort of made plans with some friends to save me a seat on the front row. I have never been on the front row at campmeeting before. I don't know why I had never sit on the front row before. But all I know is I have missed a lot of stuff going on at the front of the church. To tell the truth there was a lot going on all around the church. It was just so exciting.

Brian preached tonight and he preached from Psalm 52 the whole Psalm. He talked about the green olive tree and he made four points. Those points are Forbearance of the olive tree. Foundation of the olive tree. Fruitfulness of the olive tree and Finality of the olive tree. The thing about the finality of the olive tree is the olive tree never dies. So their is no finality. So when David said he was like a green olive tree in the house of God, he was saying that he would never die. For the Christians today, we may die physically but we do not die spiritually. I love that point that Brian made.

At the end many went to the altar. OH, I almost forgot we had three ladies that came from Kentucky Mountain Bible College and sung for us. They did a great job. Well tomorrow (or tonight that is) Paul Hagen will preach again for us.

Monday, July 23, 2007

Campmeeting Day 2

Well tonight was an exciting night (last night that is) also. We had people praising the Lord. One thing I really liked is my friend Brian Baer use to sing with the group that is at our campmeeting, so they let him sing every song with them.

The preaching was done by Cal Ray Evans. He preached from Matthew 3:11 & 12. One thing that I thought was interesting that he told is in the scriptures wheat is used as a reference to saints and/or Christians. I took notes but some of the notes were not very clear. So I won't post the notes, I don't want to confuse anyone.

Someone also gave $3500 for some of the churches over seas. I thought it was great!!! We had a lot of people raise their hand saying they were not saved. Please pray that they will come back and get saved. Tomorrow (or tonight) Brian Baer is preaching. I am so excited, Brian is a very interesting preacher.

Campmeeting Day 1

Well our church campmeeting started last night (since it is after midnight). We live close so we just drive there. So anyways, I really enjoyed myself tonight. The singing was great, the preaching was great, it was all great.

Tonight our general superintendent Paul Hagen preached. I have always enjoyed hearing Paul preach. Tonight he read from Exodus 16:21. He did not read the whole scripture, he read only one line. He preached twenty minutes, but he told us he would preach longer on his second night.

The main part of the scripture he focused on was "And they gathered it every morning....." He said that God gave fresh bread daily to the children of Israel. But it was their job to gather it every day. So likewise it is our job to gather it daily also. For us Christians now, it means that if we want something fresh from God everyday we have to pray and read our Bible. Paul gave altar call and ask people if they felt like they were not doing things like they use to (reading their Bible, praying and attending church) that they needed to come to the altar and ask God to help them.

It was a nice service and I seen a lot of friends also. Tomorrow, or should I say tonight, Cal Ray Evans will be preaching. Then on Tuesday night Brian Baer will preach. During the day they have services at 10:00am and 2:00pm, with Paul Hagen, Cal Ray Evans and Brian Baer in a rotating schedule.

The Dream

Last night I was flipping through the channels trying to find something to watch. By mere accident I stopped on The Speed Channel, because I seen Tony Stewart. On the bottom of the screen it said Prelude to the Dream. I could not believe it. I got to watch hot laps and everything. It was great!!!! One of my favorite parts was the wreck between Ryan Newman and Bill Elliott. Seeing Bill's car flip over (he was OK) and seeing Newman on his side but some how flip back over on his wheels. I enjoyed it all, especially hearing the sounds of dirt track racing.

How To Save A Life (by The Fray)

I said that I wanted to do a video tribute of Chris Benoit. This is more a tribute to his wrestling career. The song is "How To Save A Life" by The Fray. I used the song because the lyrics of the song might be how Benoit's friends feel. I hope that in time Benoit's friends can move on and I hope that they don't blame themselves and they don't feel that they could have done something different. Because if they do it could be the end of them also. So lets all remember Benoit's family and friends in our thoughts and prayers.

Chris Benoit Video Tribute

I hope the video plays, because Photobucket has been having problems.

Psalm 23

Psalm 23:1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. (When I was younger I thought this meant that you did not want the LORD. Now as I am older, I shall not want means there is nothing else that you want, besides the LORD.)
Psalm 23:2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
Psalm 23:3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Psalm 23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Psalm 23:5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Psalm 23:6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

You know I was thinking about this scripture the other night. I remember two or three weeks before my grandmother passed away. She said, "I'm going to quote the 23rd Psalm and you tell me if I am right." I said, "Hold on Mamaw let me get my Bible" and she said, "You don't know it." I got my Bible and she quoted it, word for word. She told me and my mom that sometimes when she would be laying in bed right before she would go to sleep, she would say the 23rd Psalm and the Lord's Prayer. I have also heard my Papaw Wilford while praying say, "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me!"

Looking back I can see why I would choose the 23rd Psalm to remember. That scripture got my grandparents through many hard times, it is just fitting for me to learn it. So it will help me through hard times also. I learned John 3:16 when I was younger, when I decided to memorize scriptures I started with the 23rd Psalm and I have memorized others also.

Also one quick story. I thank God for my Christian heritage, but I think him for my Bible heritage. When I was younger I remember waking up early in the morning and looking out from under the covers and seeing my Mamaw reading her Bible. And I do believe seeing her do this has instilled in me that my Bible should not be ignored and that I need it's words to see me through life's journey. Mamaw, I thank you!

Radio Broadcaster, NOT CATCHER!!!!!

I know you will probably think I am weird, but when I take my shower I like to listen to ESPN radio. Really the only reason I do this is because it is the only station that comes in good. So anyways I was listening Wednesday to the Reds baseball game and they were asking a trivia question and talking about some guy who had passed away. Then all of a sudden I hear...THUMP (I thought they were just having problems with the radio station)....then one of the radio broadcaster starts laughing and he says, "Hey I'm a radio broadcaster, not a catcher." They also said that the ball was hit so hard that it left a dent in the wall.

I just thought this funny and wanted to share it with you all. I am glad that no one got hurt. Now that would have been one crazy ball game to hear one radio broadcaster say to the other "Are you OK!"

Also I wanted everyone to know that I have finished reading the Bible through for the second time. (LOL, talking about baseball and the Bible makes me think of Billy Sunday.)

Hey Everyone!!!!

Well I have not been on here for a couple of days. I have been sick (I hate being sick). One thing that I missed was reading Nascar Eclectic's blog and reading other blogs. So I am feeling much better and I am glad. I really don't like being sick, I mean my whole body hurt. So I am real happy to feel a little better.

Now for a humorous story, I don't know if anyone has seen the new Diet Pepsi Max commercial. It is the commercial of everyone yawning. So I was watching TV last night and that commercial came on and everyone was yawning and what happens next I yawn. Well it is like everyone says yawning catches on (I am yawning right now).

I want to wish everyone a HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!!!! I hope everyone has a fun and safe day.

Also HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my dog Gizmo (3 years old)!!!!!

UPDATE: On The Benoit Family

Well I promised a update on what happened with the Benoit family. Benoit strangled his wife and suffocated his little boy. Then Benoit hanged himself with a weight-machine pulley. Some people are blaming "Roid Rage" (something steroids cause). Also I heard that Chris Benoit stuffed from paranoia after the death of his friend Eddie Guerrero. Also something else brought to light today, is that Benoit and his wife had been fighting over the care of their child. Little Daniel suffered from a medical condition called Fragile X Syndrome. It is a inherited mental retardation often accompanied by autism. To tell the truth we may never know the real reasons why this sad tragedy happened.

In a article that I had read, it said that Benoit actually went to his doctor's office Friday morning. What I understand is he just went to say hi, but the doctor didn't see anything unusual going on with Benoit. His doctor even made the statement that he is surprised and shocked that this happened, especially over Daniel, because he said that Benoit worshipped his son.

What makes me upset over the whole thing (besides Benoit doing this crazy thing) is if you go over to WWE.com they have taken everything of Chris Benoit from their site. They won't sale his items anymore, and why this upsets me is the fact that they will probably not have a fund that they can put money into for Benoit's two children and Nancy's family. It is sort of like he never existed, and we should not condone what he did, but he should be remembered as a great wrestler.

Last night I was talking to mom on the phone and ask my mom if I was weird, because for some reason I can't hate Chris Benoit. I hate what he did but I try to think about the good things about him. And I am sort of surprised, but most people feel the same way that I feel. I was reading some e-mails earlier about the whole situation. Most folks don't agree with what he did, but they still respect him as the wrestler he was. They also made the same statement that I did, about them not being his judge. Today I took a poll and it ask if your opinion of Benoit has changed. The results were that 34% said yes, 12% said not really, 27% said no not at all and 26% were undecided at this moment. To me, not really and no not at all are the same. So if you add that together then 39% of people still respect the wrestler Chris Benoit.

Before I end this long blog I will say that professional wrestling has their demons. It is a nasty business. I watched wrestling between the years of 1997-2000 and their was a lot of deaths during those years. Since I started and stopped watching wrestling I have seen, Brian Pillman, Owen Hart, Davey Boy Smith, Rick Rude, Curt Hennig, Eddie Guerrero, Crash Holly, Miss Elizabeth, Johnny Grunge, Rocco Rock, Road Warrior Hawk, Louie Spicolli, Bam Bam Bigelow, Renegade, Mike Awesome, Chris Candido, and Sherri Martel (June 15, 2007) all die. I know I probably have left someone off the list, but you get the point. Some deaths were tragic and some were not, but there is stress going on in wrestling. Also if you would look into The Von Erich Family, now there is a wrestling family with a lot of demons in their closet.

The Benoit Family

I was not planning on blogging about wrestling for awhile after last month doing so many blogs about wrestlers who have passed away. But last night when I received a terrible phone call from my cousin, I have to blog about wrestling. When my cousin called he told me that Chris Benoit and his wife Nancy and their 7 year old son Daniel were found dead. To tell you the truth I think I may have been in some form of shock, because all I could say was, "I don't know what to say, I'm speechless." I am not sure but I think I repeated myself at least three times.

Chris Benoit was one of my favorite wrestlers, when I watched wrestling. I love almost every Canadian wrestler and Benoit was one. In fact I told my cousin this morning that I would list him as one of my top three favorite Canadian wrestlers. Also he was in The Four Horsemen with Ric Flair and I have always liked Ric Flair. Benoit's wife Nancy also use to be in wrestling as a manager, I knew her as Woman, then I knew her as Chris Benoit's wife.

Now I have to be honest with you all. This morning I read on the Internet then I heard it on TV that this situation is being ruled as a murder-suicide. They are saying that Chris Benoit murder his wife and son sometime during the weekend and then committed suicide sometime Monday. Then the bodies of himself, his wife and his son were found by police on Monday afternoon. I know most of you reading this is thinking that he is a bad man. Of course it is very very wrong what he did, but I can't be his judge. God will be the judge over Chris Benoit. I will say that I believe he had some kind of demon in him. I watched wrestling last night and they showed a video of him with his wife and son, and I could see how much he loved his family especially his little boy.

So now as I write this blog with so many mixed emotions flooding my mind. I want to have good thoughts and those good thoughts are of watching Benoit wrestler. So I am going to try to keep everyone updated and I don't know when I will have it done, but I want to make a tribute video of Benoit. But the most important part is to remember Benoit's family in your thoughts and prayers (especially his two children from a previous marriage). Also remember Nancy's family in your thoughts and prayers.

I was going to blog about something totally different today, but my plans changed. Last night I was listening to my friend Brian Baer preach. His message was entitled "Salvation at the Skull". There was so much that I could talk about that he told about in his sermon, but this one part about the number 40 was very interesting to me.

Brian was telling that the number 40 in the Bible represented testing. And here are some examples that he told about.

40 = Testing

  • Goliath tested the children of Israel for 40 days.
  • Saul, David, and Solomon all reigned for 40 years.
  • The flood was for 40 days and 40 nights.
  • Moses lived in Egypt for 40 years, he lived in Midian for 40 years. He was also on a mountain for 40 days.
  • Israel wandered in the wilderness for 40 years.
  • The spies were in Canaan for 40 days.
  • Elijah fasted for 40 days.
  • Jesus fasted in the wilderness for 40 days. Jesus was with his disciples for 40 days before he ascended into heaven.

Congratulations to Martin Truex Jr. for breaking the Hendrick curse. Sad news, former NASCAR chairman Bill France Jr. died Monday at home in Daytona Beach, Fla. He was 74. Late breaking hockey news, I am sad to report that my team did not win the Stanley Cup. The Anaheim Ducks won their first Stanley Cup defeating the Ottawa Senators by 6 to 2. I do believe this makes the second year that a first timer team wins the Cup.

Bee Scary

Well "Bee Scary" is the name of this blog for today. "Bee" is for the spelling bee and "Scary" for the Scary Walking Man.

Last night was the big spelling bee and I love watching it. I have problems spelling words sometimes but I love the bee. I really appreciate having a computer to help me spell words. Thanks to Answers.com and the little talking man on there, one website I use a lot. So the winning word was "serrefine" and the winner was Evan O'Dorney (13 years old) from Danville, Calif. The kid does not like the spelling bee, he likes numbers and music notes more then words.

You know I don't know what it is like to win a spelling bee. I compare winning the spelling bee to beating my cousin Marcy in Literati that one time that I did beat her. It was on December 15, 2005, very early in the morning the game ended and I looked at the score and I WON, FINALLY, I WON!!!!!!!!! Then Marcy said "You won and it's your birthday, Happy Birthday." That truly was one great birthday, but that might be how some kids feel. I really don't think Evan felt that way, but maybe he did.

Now onto "Scary Walking Man". My cousin Jon called me yesterday and said that he had been looking at war memorials and he came across "Scary Walking Man" and more. So I went and looked at the pictures (with my mom by my side) and I call these statues "Scary Walking Man and Brothers". These statues represent the Korean War Veterans Memorial. There is one picture of this memorial on Wikipedia of what I call the "Ghost Face Wall" and it is scary too.

Earlier this morning I was on the Korean War Veterans Memorial Home Page. They say that you can come and visit this memorial between the times of 8 a.m.-Midnight. I have to say that you would be nuts to walk around these 7 feet tall statues at midnight. They could literally kill you and put your face on the "Ghost Face Wall". I know I am going crazy, but these are very scary, scary men!!!!!!

Just to let you know there are 19 of those statues and who knows how many faces on the "Ghost Face Wall".

Fear

Everyone has something that they fear. I have a lot of fears (oh I just admitted that). One of my major fears is of statues. They look so scary and some look almost real. I am not a statue person. I guess I think they are going to come to life and kill me or something. So here are some statues that I am afraid of.

"Scary Walking Man" I did not know exactly what the name of the statue was. So I named it "Scary Walking Man". This statue I could just see it chasing me.

Big Jesus (Christ the Redeemer) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This statue is on a skateboarding video game and every time I would see it I would scream and cover my eyes. My cousin Chris would have to tell me when it was off the screen. I am sort of feeling more comfortable when I see the Big Jesus statue, but I have no desire to go see the Big Jesus in person.

Scary Angel (Grave of Chester Arthur the 21st President), who ever put this on his grave I think was insane. I would be afraid that this angel would come to life and dig my grave up. Thanks to my cousin Jon for showing me this scary angel.

Giant Sinking Jesus (King of Kings) in Monroe, Ohio. The church that has this statue is called Solid Rock Church. I am telling people the name of the church that way if they are afraid of statues they can stay away from this church. I would like to send a e-mail to the church, and ask them why they have this statue? Are they trying to keep people that are afraid of statues away from their church. This statue cost $250,000. My cousin Jon told me about this statue also. He saw this statue in person when he was coming down to Kentucky on I-95 (so stay off I-95 if you are afraid of statues).

Last but not least, this is really not a statue just a bust of John Rankin's head. The bust of his head is on his grave. This bust looks like it could glow in the dark. I would be afraid to come along in a dark graveyard and see this head. SCARY!!!!!!!!!

Well I told you one of my fears and I know you probably got a laugh from it.

OWEN HART DAY!!!!!!

Eight years ago today Owen Hart died. I am not going to do a big outlined of his wrestling accomplishments. I will do a brief outline then I will speak more from the heart.

Owen James Hart was born May 7, 1965 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada to Stu and Helen Hart. He was the youngest of twelve children. Owen was trained by his father Stu and debuted on May 30, 1986. He first started out in Stampede Wrestling his father's company. But he mostly spent his wrestling career in the WWF (now WWE).

To me the greatest moment in his career was when the Hart Foundation was reformed. Bret Hart (Owen's brother) was the ringleader, and the group was rounded out with Owen, Davey Boy Smith (Bret's and Owen's brother-in-law), Jim Neidhart (Bret's and Owen's brother-in-law) and Brian Pillman. Owen was a great wrestler and Owen never needed the stupid WWE championship title to make him a true winner, because even if he never held the title he was a winner in everyone's heart.

Owen Hart was my favorite wrestler. I use to love Owen's brother Bret, but it was not until after Owen died that I realized that Owen was truly my number 1 pick. I just wish I could have met him.

The night he died, and a news reporter came on TV and said a wrestler had died at a pay-per-view event, I never expected it to be Owen. I thought it had to be this hardcore wrestler named Mick Foley that had done something and got himself killed. When the news finally told who had died, it was Owen. The worst part is, it was a tragic event that should have never happened, but it did. And it left us all with a broken heart. But today when I signed on to Myspace I read a bulletin from Owen's niece that said we should make today a celebration of Owen's life and that is what I want to make it. To remember the good things about Owen.

I made a video for this day, and it shows what kind of man Owen was. My cousin told me to use the song "If tomorrow never comes", but I used the the song "The Dance". In the song it says, "But if I'd only known how the king would fall." Owen Hart's nickname was "The King of Harts", so this song is fit for a king. Owen Hart Tribute Video (Click Here)

Owen Hart's Championships and Accomplishments...
  • IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship (1 time)
  • Stampede British Commonwealth Mid-Heavyweight Championship (1 time)
  • Stampede North American Heavyweight Championship (2 times)
  • Stampede International Tag Team Championship (1 time)-with brother-in-law Ben Bassarab
  • USWA Unified World Heavyweight Championship (1 time)
  • WWF (now WWE) European Championship (1 time)
  • WWF (now WWE) Intercontinental Championship (2 times)
  • WWF (now WWE) World Tag Team Championship (4 times)-with Yokozuna (2), British Bulldog (1) and Jeff Jarrett (1)
  • WWF (now WWE) King of the Ring (1994)

To fill in the gaps for you folks that don't know. The Hart Foundation members were trained by Stu Hart. Davey Boy Smith was married to Bret Hart's and Owen Hart's sister Diana. Davey died May the 18Th of 2002. Brian Pillman was friends with the Hart family, he died October the 5Th of 1997. So you see this is a hard month not only for people in the wrestling community, but for the Hart family and the last two members (Bret Hart and Jim Neidhart) of the Hart Foundation.

Happy Birthday Brian!!!!!!!

Today if Brian Pillman was still alive he would be 45 years old. Pillman was a professional wrestler and professional football player (he played for the Cincinnati Bengals, his home town team). But I will always remember him as a wrestler.

When Pillman was 2 years old he developed throat polyps. He spent a lot of his time growing up in hospitals because of this. He had over 40 operations to remove it, and this left him having a raspy voice.

He played football for Miami University in Oxford, Ohio (Miami Redhawks). He joined the Bengals in 1984 as a free agent. Then later played for the Canadian Football League for the Calgary Stampeders in 1986. He also played for the Buffalo Bills in the preseason in 1985, but was the last player to be cut.

At the end of his football career he got into wrestling and stayed in Calgary and was trained by Stu Hart and his sons. He wrestled in Stampede Wrestling and was in a tag team called Bad Company with Bruce Hart. After Stampede Wrestling Pillman came back to the states and started wrestling in WCW in 1989. He was known as Flyin' Brian Pillman. While in WCW he tag teamed with Tom Zenk. Then later he tag teamed with Steve Austin and they were known as the Hollywood Blondes. After Austin and Pillman separated, Ric Flair reformed The Four Horsemen with Arn Anderson, Chris Benoit and Brian Pillman.

In 1995 Pillman developed the "Loose Cannon" gimmick because of his unpredictable behaviour. He started blurring fact and fiction with his worked-shoots. He was fired from WCW in 1996. After WCW he moved onto ECW for a very brief stay there.

Then he went to the WWF (now WWE) and served as a commentator while recovering from a broken ankle he received in a car accident. After WrestleMania 13 he joined the Hart Foundation with members Bret Hart, Owen Hart, Davey Boy Smith and Jim Neidhart. On October the 5Th when Pillman was suppose to wrestler at a wrestling Pay-Per-View he was found dead in his hotel room. He died from a undetected heart condition (arteriosclerotic heart disease), he was 35 years old.

Championships and Accomplishments.....

  • NWA World Tag Team Championship (1 time)-with Stunning Steve Austin
  • NWA United States Tag Team Championship (1 time)-with Tom Zenk
  • Stampede International Tag Team Championship (2 times)-with Bruce Hart
  • WCW Light Heavyweight Championship (2 times)
  • WCW World Tag Team Championship (1 time)-with Stunning Steve Austin

Since today would have been Pillman's Birthday, I wanted to posted a video I made of pictures of him. Brian Pillman Tribute Video (Click Here)

Davey Boy Smith

The month of May is really a sad time for people who know anything about wrestling. Five years ago today, Davey Boy Smith died he was 39 years old. He was born November 27, 1962 in Golborne, Warrington. An interesting fact about Davey Boy is that his middle name is really "Boy". When he was born one of his parents thought that the middle name space was the gender space and they put down boy and it ended up that his middle name became "Boy". Which really did fit years later when he started going by The British Bulldog Davey Boy Smith.

He was trained some by Ted Betley in England. Then he relocated to Calgary, Alberta, Canada and began training under Stu Hart. In Calgary he met Stu's youngest daughter Diana and they were married in 1984, they divorced in 2000. They have two children.

His wrestling career started when he was 16 years old. Then he moved to Canada and trained under Stu Hart and began wrestling for Stampede Wrestling. He also wrestled some in Japan. Between 1985 to 2000 he was bounced back and forth between WCW and WWF (now WWE). After his first WWF (now WWE) run he went back to Stampede and New Japan, but mostly he went from company to company. One week before he died he had wrestled in three tag team matchs with his son Harry.

Championships and accomplishments include....
  • Stampede International Tag Team Championship (4 times) - with brother-in-law Bruce Hart (2) and with his cousin The Dynamite Kid (2)
  • Stampede North American Heavyweight Championship (2 times)
  • Stampede World Mid-Heavyweight Championship (1 time)
  • WWF European Championship (2 times, he was the first person to win this title)
  • WWF Hardcore Championship (2 times)
  • WWF Intercontinental Championship (1 time)
  • WWF World Tag Team Championship (2 times) - with his cousin The Dynamite Kid and with his brother-in-law the late Owen Hart

Today I wanted to post a video I made in memory of Davey Boy Smith. I hope you all enjoy. Davey Boy Smith Tribute Video (Click Here)

New Rules For Nascar!!!

Well with how Hendrick keeps winning I have decided to change the rules in Nascar. So one new rule is whoever gets second place is declared the winner in my book. So the winner for yesterday's race is Denny Hamlin. Too bad it really could not work that way. Oh if you are wondering what happens if a Hendrick car also gets second, well third place is the winner. LOL!

Also I was thinking, what could Nascar do to make it a even playing field for other drivers? Well I decided they can trade pit crews every week. Now that would sort of be a difficult challenge of dealing with a pit crew you are not use to. Just a thought I had.

Still hoping we will see a new driver triumphant over Hendrick drivers.

Happy Belated Birthday Owen!!!!!!

Monday would have been Owen Hart's birthday. For you people out there that does not know, Owen Hart was a WWF (now called WWE) wrestler. He died on May 23, 1999 after falling to his death in Kansas City, Missouri during a wrestling pay-per-view. If Owen was still alive today he would have been 42 years old. It is hard to believe that he would have been that old considering that he died when he was only 34 years old. To me personally that is a young age, but Owen will always be remembered as a young guy so full of life. I would write more today but two weeks from today will be the anniversary of that day he died. So I will try to do something special for that blog.

Wooooo! (I am not serious)

Sorry folks I have to nag a little. Nascar it has been exciting lately, NOT!!!!!! First thing I hate is the CoT (Car of Tomorrow), I mean the car is just weird looking. I think it is all about that stupid car having a wing on it. I don't know, it may be because I am not big on change. But I don't like it.

Then we have the Hendrick Boys, yeah can't stand them either. Out of 9 races, 7 of those have been won by a Hendrick driver. I may be losing it but I think Hendrick is paying someone off, but then again I think I am losing it. I do have to say that I think Jeff Gordon is brave for winning in the land of Dale. If I was him I think I would have let someone else win, I would be in fear for my life.

Why did we not end with a green/white checker finish?????

And last but not least, Nascar does not want fans to throw objects onto the race track. Why some people may ask? Well here is the answer from me. When I use to watch wrestling the fans would get upset and what would they do??? They would throw anything they could get their hands on into the ring. What did Tony compare Nascar too??? So Nascar fans don't throw stuff into the ring, oops I mean onto the track.

Happy Birthday Dale!!!

Today if Dale Earnhardt was still living he would have been 56 years old. Today in 1951 one of the greatest Nascar drivers was born. Even when I didn't like Nascar if someone ask me my favorite driver I would say Dale Earnhardt. When I got into Nascar the first and only race that I watched of Dale racing was his last that he would ever race, because that day he was killed in a crash on the last lap. During the weeks after Dale's death, I watched everything about Nascar. When they had the memorial service and aired it on TV, I was thankful to have a day off from school to watch it.

You know I believe that if Dale had not died I would not be a Tony Stewart fan. Because Dale would still be around why pick someone else? But that second week I tuned in and seen a cocky driver who hit Jeff Gordon in the back end and I said that is my driver and that was Tony. So today on Dale's birthday I wanted to post a link to a tribute video about The Earnhardts. But it is mostly a tribute to Dale Earnhardt. We still miss you Dale! The Earnhardt Video

Church Signs

Some people (my friends and family) might have already seen this, but I wanted to share it with everyone here. I have come up with a list of 10 church signs, that I think are cute and funny. Even if they are funny some have some truth to them. So I hope you enjoy them.

10. "In the dark? Follow the Son."

9. "If you don't like the way you were born, try being born again."

8. "Searching for a new look? Have your faith lifted here!"

7. "Try our Sundays. They are better than Baskin-Robbins."

6. "This is a ch_ _ ch. What is missing?" --> (U R)

5. "How will you spend eternity-Smoking or Non-Smoking?"

4. "Dusty Bibles lead to Dirty Lives."

3. "Forbidden fruit creates many jams."

2. "Do not wait for the hearse to take you to church."

Now for the number 1 church sign, I thought this was really funny.

1. A singing group called "The Resurrection" was scheduled to sing at a church. When a big snowstorm postponed the performance, the pastor fixed the outside sign to read, "The Resurrection is postponed."

Honest, he did eat it!!!!!

No, I don't have my homework......why don't I have it??? well..... um...... MY DOG ATE IT!

Now if I was still in school this excuse would seriously work for me. I mean it, my dog really does eat paper, paper towels and toilet paper. Anything involving the word paper in it. The another day he ate a envelope that my mom was suppose to send a payment in. I felt sorry for my mom because she had to address a new envelope. My dog, well, I think that he thinks he is a goat.

My dog, sometimes I believe has an identity crisis. Sometimes he acts like a cat, sometimes a rabbit (he moves his nose like a rabbit when he smelling stuff) and other times he is a goat. Well he is also a dog. He is two soon to be three years old. I thought the puppy stage was over. WHEN WILL IT BE OVER?!?!

P.S. I still love that rotten little dog.

Jim Hill

"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away." Revelation 21:4

Most people, if I say the name Jim Hill, would say "who?" But if I say "What A Day That Will Be" (link goes to the words of the song), most people would say "I love that song." Last year I had the privilege of meeting Jim Hill. For a couple of years I had knew that Jim Hill was from around our area. I thought it was cool having someone who wrote a very popular Christian song from our area, but then I heard his testimony...

Jim Hill was saved (born again) at the same camp meeting that I have went to all my life. In fact Jim Hill married the daughter of the general superintendent of the church conference that I grew up in. Now that was very exciting for me to hear, but then he told the story of how the words to "What A Day That Will Be" was formed into a song.

He said that his mother-in-law became very sick. Of course sometimes when things like this happens we wonder why, but Jim Hill was a very new Christian at the time. So one day when he was coming home from work, he was asking God why this was happening to his mother-in-law. Then he said, words just starting filling his mind, but he did not have anything to write the words down. So when he got home he got out of the car and looked down and there was a old piece of cardboard. So he picked it up and wrote down the words to "What A Day That Will Be." The first person that Jim Hill sung the song for, was his sick mother-in-law.

You know this had to be a very hard time for Jim Hill and his family. But just the thought of if it had not happened, then we would not have the words to "What A Day That Will Be." The song has been an anthem of encouragement many times for many people. So maybe we should not tell people sometimes that they should not question God, because I believe if Jim Hill hadn't questioned why it was happening, then we would not have this beautiful song today.

14 Years...

Fourteen years ago I was 10 years old, and I did not know much of what was going on in the world around me. But today as I was walking into the kitchen, I heard the man on the radio say something about this date and some unhappy memories swept over me. Fourteen years ago today the Lucasville Prison Riot started that lasted from April the 11th to April the 21st.

My Dad worked for a local radio station and my Dad helped set up equipment to broadcast from the prison. My Dad spent many long days out in front of that prison and we spent our time at the station. Of course me being a kid, we (me and the daughter of one of my Dad's co-workers) ran and played at the radio station like it was one big play ground. In my mind I did not understand what was going, I did not know what a prison riot was.

Now I understand more since I have gotten older. The riot started all because some of the prisoners did not want to take their tuberculosis vaccinations and they all went insane. The riot broke out in the L-Block of the prison. My Dad told me that they had secretly went underground and placed mics to hear what was going on inside. This way the authorities could listen in and find out who the ringleaders were. One night when my Dad was at the station CBS called and needed a recording of prisoner George Skatzes making the demands. So they ask if my Dad could transmit it to them and they played it on the nightly news.

On April the 15Th, Correctional Officer Robert "Bob" Vallandingham was strangled to death. This was done to convince state officials to take the prisoners' demands seriously. Nine inmates lost their lives also. Thirteen correctional officers were held hostage. Five of the correctional officers were held the entire time of the siege. Finally the day of my brother's birthday, April the 21st the siege ended. Looking back now it was a terrible thing that happened and my heart goes out to Bob Vallandingham's wife and family. The worst part is the riot started on Easter Sunday and I know Vallandingham's wife feels that special love of her life missing every Easter.

The Stanley Cup and Chocolate Easter Bunnies

Well the other day my mom read a story from one of the local newspapers. It said that hockey fans around this area (the area I live close to) might want to start rooting for the Atlanta Thrashers to win the Stanley Cup. Because if they win the Cup, then the Thrasher strength and conditioning coach Ray Bear would like to bring the Cup to this area. When the Stanley Cup is won, each member of the team gets to keep the trophy for the day. So I think it would be cool if it would get to come to a small Ohio town.

For me personally though, I am a big Toronto Maple Leafs fan and I always have been, since I got into hockey. I sort of think it is odd, but sometimes I think I was born in the wrong territory. I mean I love hockey and another one of my favorite sports is curling. I was upset this January because we did not get to watch curling on TV like we did last year, because of the Olympics. To bad the Winter Olympics couldn't be every year, but that is just my opinion.

OK folks, on now to chocolate Easter bunnies. That is one of my favorite Easter sweets that I love. But the funniest thing is, that I am not much of a fan of chocolate. I like it, but then I don't like it. But I really wanted a hollow chocolate Easter Bunny, so my mom got me two of them. Well I told my mom that the bunny looked evil, I don't know it just looked weird. My mom told me it was not evil, but why in the world would I still be afraid of the bunny when I was eating it? I seriously felt more comfortable after I ate the eyes of that bunny. I mean that bunny's eyes were strange looking. I know I sound crazy, but it did look scary. And I still have one more to eat.

Well Nascar Nextel Cup was off a week, so we have the Texas race coming up. I do have to say that I'm not to fond of Texas and of any other big speedways, besides Daytona. I am more of a short track kind of girl. All I have to say is, if Jimmie Johnson doesn't win this week then I will be very happy.

I Was On His Mind

Well today was Easter and this morning in church they sung this song. I think the song was really for me and I really wanted to post the song, but I didn't have the words. I said something to my mom about wanting the words and she told me she had them. I am just very thankful for what Jesus did for me. I know some may think that I am nuts, because most people think Christians are nuts. But I have tried Jesus for myself and I will live for him the rest of my life, no matter what anyone says to me. AND I REPEAT NO MATTER WHAT ANYONE SAYS TO ME!

When He was On The Cross
I Was On His Mind
by: Mike Payne & Ronny Hinson
v. 1
I'm not on an ego trip; I'm nothing on my own,
Make mistakes, I often slip, just common flesh and bones;
But I'll prove someday just why I say, I'm of a special kind,
For when He was on the cross I was on His mind.
Chorus
For He knew me, Yet, He loved me,
He whose glory makes the Heavens shine;
So unworthy of such mercy,
Yet, when He was on the cross, I was on His mind.
v.2
The look of love was on His face and thorns were on His head,
Blood was on His scarlet robe, stained a crimson red,
Though His eyes were on the crowd, He looked ahead in time,
For when He was on the cross I was on His mind.
Chorus
For He knew me, Yet, He loved me,
He whose glory makes the Heavens shine;
So unworthy of such mercy,
Yet, when He was on the cross, I was on His mind.

Today we celebrate a risen Savior, but it is also a time to think upon what he has done for all. That he shed his precious blood. At one time a priest would offer a goat for the sins of the people. But in Hebrews 9: 12 it says this.... "Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his (Jesus') blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us." When it talks about Jesus entering in once into the holy place, what it means is he only had to go in one time. Unlike the priest who had to go into the holy place every year to seek forgiveness for himself and all people.
So as I think about the resurrection of Jesus today, I think about the words that Alfred H. Ackley penned back in 1933. "I know that He is living; whatever men may say."

Easter

This coming Sunday is Easter and many will celebrate the resurrection of Jesus. I am not going to write a big long blog, but I posted a video that I made. I think the video will be worth more then me writing a blog. I will probably not write anymore until Sunday or Monday. I don't want to take anything away from Easter by writing some other blog. (Click on the box below and a new window will open to view the video.)

What in the world????

For some strange reason I had a dream about this guy I want to school with. But the reason I think it is so odd, is he use to terrorize me. The weird thing is that we use to be friends. Then for some reason he starts being mean to me. I am still not sure why I would have this dream about him (because I have been out of school since 2001), but I thought maybe I should pray for him.

Also lately I have been thinking about Shane McMahon (Vince McMahon's son). So I went over to one of my favorite websites Wikipedia (known to me and my cousin as Wiki Wiki). I typed in Shane's name and was reading stuff about him then noticed his birthday. I was stunned to find out that Shane is 37 years old. OK folks don't get mad, but my thought was, "Gosh Shane's old!" I thought he would be like 30 or something like that. LOL, in 3 more years he will be 40!

P.S. I know my cousin Marcy is probably going to kill me, because I think he is so old. Note to Marcy: You definitely don't look your age.

Who Said Everyone Is Perfect?

I have been thinking a lot about people who might struggle with being perfect. Well I have news for you, no one is perfect! And I have a few examples of people who were not perfect, and some of these men are called saints now. I had this thought of looking at seven of the twelve disciples. These seven were not perfect, but they walked with the perfect one (Jesus).
Nathanael was a skeptic. In my own opinion Nathanael looked down on Jesus because of where he was from. In John 1:45 and 46 it says... "Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph (v45). And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him. Come and see (v46)."
Matthew was a tax collector. In Bible days most tax collectors took more money then what they were suppose too. In Matthew 9:9 it is a beautiful sight to see Jesus call someone that most people hated. "And as Jesus passed forth from thence, he saw a man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he saith unto him, Follow me. And he arose, and followed him (v. 9)."
Then we have Doubting Thomas. John 20:25 says this... "The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the prints of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe (v. 25)." Later he did see Jesus and he believed.
James and John were the brothers so full of themselves. They thought Jesus would surely grant their request of where they thought they should sit in Heaven. Mark 10:35-37, "And James and John, the sons of Zebedee, come unto him, saying, Master, we would that thou shouldest do for us whatsoever we shall desire (v35). And he said unto them, What would ye that I should do for you (v. 36)? They said unto him, Grant unto us that we may sit, one on thy right hand, and the other on thy left hand, in thy glory (v. 37)." In another part of the Bible we see that James and John's mother came with them to make this request. This goes to show that James and John were momma's boys. Nothing wrong with being a momma's boy, just don't let your momma run your life (this goes for girls too). Matthew 20:20, "Then came to him the mother of Zebedee's children with her sons, worshipping him, and desiring a certain thing of him (v. 20)."
Now for the last two men, Peter and Judas Iscariot. Two men who betrayed Jesus the same night. Peter denied Jesus three times. Here is what Peter told Jesus, Matthew 26:35, "Peter said unto him, Though I should die with thee, yet will I not deny thee. Likewise also said all the disciples (v. 35)." Not only did all the disciples lie to Jesus, because they all ran when the men came for Jesus. But Peter denied him three times and lied to him also. In Matthew 26:75 we find out the he remembers what Jesus said to him and it upsets him. "And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, which said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice (three times). And he went out, and wept bitterly (v. 75)."
Judas Iscariot betrayed Jesus for money. Luke 22:3-6, "Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve (v.3). And he went his way, and communed with the chief priests and captains, how he might betray him unto them (v. 4). And they were glad, and covenanted to give him money (v. 5). And he promised, and sought opportunity to betray him unto them in the absence of the multitude (v. 6)." In the end Judas sees he was wrong to betray Jesus, he repents, then he goes and tries to return the money. But in the end, Judas plays God himself and takes his own life.
Six of the seven men, even if they may have sinned, went on to do great things for God. Some wrote books in the Bible and they all were martyrs. Even up to their very last breath, God still used them. This only goes to show, that God does not use perfect people.

2000

OK for some reason, yesterday I was thinking about Elian Gonzales. The boy who was the center of a custody battle between the United States and Cuba, between the time period of November 1999-April 22, 2000. For some reason this was a big deal for me when all this was going on. Maybe because his mother was trying to give her son a better life and in the process she lost her life and in the end, the boy had to go back to Cuba.

So as I was thinking about it, I decided to do a review of things that happened in the year of 2000. (Note to Jon [my cousin], I know you did this with the year of 1997, but I don't think you will mind if I take one out of your book.) As I said, this is stuff that happened in 2000 that I remember or things that I think are interesting that happened that year.

October 11 - 250 million gallons of coal sludge spill in Martin County, Kentucky.

October 26 - New York Yankees defeat New York Mets in Game 5 of the 2000 World Series.

November 7 - George W. Bush is tentatively declared winner over Democrat Vice President Al Gore.

So today I am reading some of the blogs, that I like reading. I read this one about Tyler Walker posted by Nascar Eclectic. Anyways he has a picture over there of this Tyler Walker, nothing really amazed me about the guy (because I only like the Nextel Cup). The one thing that I noticed was some of the logos on his drivers suit. One logo stuck out like a sore thumb and that was the WWE symbol. Now I know that WWE did have some wrestlers who were associated with Nascar, but I did not know they were sponsoring a driver. This just shows me Vince McMahon has to have a part with anything and everything.
