There is one line in this song that says, "if you think a promise is something that you can't trust, then you don't know God's love." I am very glad to say that I know God's love and he never makes a promise that he won't keep. Sometimes when people start to make promises to me, I will let them go into one ear and out the other. That is so awful to say, but when some people keep making promises and they don't keep them, then you begin to lose trust in them. God is so much different from people, even if God lets something happen, he has a bigger plan. Us as people can only see the small picture, we can't see what God has for us in the future. That is one reason why you should keep trusting God and don't listen to the devil because he will tell you lies and try to get you to turn your back on God. I hope you enjoy this song from The Dove Brothers.

My grandpa gave my dad and mom our Christmas money. So my mom ask me if I wanted a Thompson Chain-Reference Bible and I told her I did. Well I was talking to my friend Kenny one night after church and I said I was going to get the cheapest one that CBD had. My mom told me to pick the one that I wanted and she would use some of her and my dad's Christmas money from my grandpa to make up the difference.
Today my Thompson arrived. We didn't know this, but it is actually the Centennial Edition. It is also large print, but Thompson large print doesn't mean large print. But that's OK, I have a magnifying bookmark that I will use for it. It's really a nice Bible, I am hoping that I'll have my name engraved on it soon. It just makes it more official.
Oh by the way, my mom actually ask me if I wanted it now or for Christmas. I said, "I want it now." She laughed and said that she knew I would say that.

I know as soon as someone reads the title of this blog, I have them hooked. Keep reading!!! I just wanted to shock you and then make you want to read it.
I've been reading this book (besides reading another book, plus the Bible) and I ran across this part that said "If we reject Him (Jesus), we reject God." Wow what a powerful statement, for some reason that hit me hard. I mean the Bible says the same thing, just in another way. And I have read it a thousand times over and over. But after reading that line in the book it donned on me and as I said before it hit me hard.
Luke 10:16 says this...
He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me. (The words of Jesus in red.)
So Jesus said if they despise me then they despise him (God) that sent me. I went to Thesaurus.com and looked up the word despise and another word for despise is reject. If you reject Jesus then you reject God. Wow!!! There are a lot of people who will say they believe in God but want nothing to do with Jesus, so they are rejecting God.
Then this thought came into my head, it was like God was speaking to me. Back in 2001 when I was going back and forth on the matter if I wanted to be a Christian for those 51 days (my blog entitled 51 Days, also known as my Jesus story), I was rejecting Jesus, thus rejecting God. Sometimes I think, what if God had decided to give up on me? Thank God that he didn't but what if he had, I had rejected him everyday by not asking for forgiveness. Then there are the people who say, "oh I'll get saved when I'm older." And the thought comes again they are rejecting Jesus and God because they want to wait. They shouldn't wait because the Bible says, "behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation (2 Corinthians 6:2)." No one should wait to call upon God to save them, take my advice after I ask God to forgive me of my sins and to save me, I felt so much better. Now listen to me, after you get saved life is not going to be a bed of roses, but you will have God to help you through the hard times. Remember if you feel the Holy Spirit knocking on your heart's door don't say you are going to wait, because that means you are rejecting Jesus and God. You might not have another chance to call upon God.
