The 19th Day of the 25 Days of Christmas
Would you believe me if I said a Christmas song came about because of the poem, "Twas The Night Before Christmas?" Clement Clarke Moore was the writer of the poem and he was a son of an Episcopalian bishop. Moore heard that the Episcopalians was wanting to build a seminary so he gave a portion of his land so they could build the school. They built General Theological Seminary on the portion of land that Moore gave to them. Moore also became one of the school's first professors, teaching biblical languages.
Years later John H. Hopkins Jr. enrolled into the seminary. He had been admitted into the University of Vermont pursuing legal studies before moving to New York. He had fell in love with the Lord's work. He graduated in 1850 and in 1855 he became the school's first instructor of church music. Two years later in 1857 Hopkins wrote "We Three Kings" for a Christmas pageant produced by General Theological Seminary.
I can't keep from thinking what if Clement Clarke Moore hadn't wrote that poem which made him famous. Maybe he would not have gave part of his land to the Episcopalians, his life might have been totally different. And we might have never had this wonderful Christmas song.
When I went to the free Christmas concert, their was a group that sung a song that I had never heard of. It was so beautiful. It said this...
"One king held frankincense. One king held myrrh. One king held the purest gold. One King held the hope of the world!" And I thank God for the King that held the hope of the world.
This is another one of my favorite quotes around Christmas time. "Wisemen Still Seek Him!"

The 18th Day of the 25 Days of Christmas
My grandpa had been sick, so my dad and I were taking turns staying with him. Well he officially kicked us out yesterday and if nothing happens I should be able to start reading the blogs that I like reading everyday now. I think my grandpa got tired me following him around and worrying over him. Yesterday I went with him and my aunt to his doctor's appointment and I believe he told me three times to go on that he was fine. LOL! Today I am posting a video of "O Come, O Come, Emmanuel" and here is a link to the song story. (CLICK HERE)

The 17th Day of the 25 Days of Christmas
Well here is that poem that I meant to post yesterday. My cousin Marcy sent it to me the other day and ever since she sent it to me, I have now seen it three other times. Isn't that so strange when you never see or hear of something, then after you see or hear about it that one time you end up seeing or hearing about it a lot. Here is the link to the website were she got the poem from, click here.
Why JESUS Is Better Than Santa?
Santa lives at the North Pole...
JESUS is everywhere.
Santa rides in sleigh...
JESUS rides on the wind and walks on the water.
Santa comes but once a year...
JESUS is an ever present help.
Santa fills your stockings with goodies...
JESUS supplies all your needs.
Santa comes down your chimney uninvited...
JESUS stands at your door and knocks, and then enters your heart when invited.
You have to wait in line to see Santa...
JESUS is as close as the mention of His name.
Santa lets you sit on his lap...
JESUS lets you rest in His arms.
Santa doesn't know your name, all he can say is "Hi little boy or girl, what's your name?" ...
JESUS knew our name before we were born... Not only does He know our name, He knows our history and future and He even knows how many hairs are on our heads.
Santa has a belly like a bowl full of jelly...
JESUS has a heart full of love.
All Santa can offer is HO HO HO...
JESUS offers health, help and hope.
Santa says "You better not cry" ...
JESUS says "Cast all your cares on me for I care for you."
Santa's little helpers make toys...
JESUS makes new life, mends wounded hearts, repairs broken homes and builds mansions.
Santa may make you chuckle but...
JESUS gives you joy that is your strength.
While Santa puts gifts under your tree...
JESUS became our gift and died on a tree... The cross.
Put Christ back in Christmas...

The 16th Day of the 25 Days of Christmas
Well I know that it is not the 16th (that's tomorrow) but I won't be able to be on the computer tomorrow morning. So that is why I am posting in the evening. Also I was going to post a poem, but I logged out of my Yahoo account before getting the link to the poem. So here is another one of my favorite Christmas songs.

The 15th Day of the 25 Days of Christmas
I'm still very busy, today (December 15th) is my birthday. So I'll be enjoying the day with my cousins. The reason why I have been busy is I've been staying with my grandpa some. My dad will be staying the whole day with him because we have had plans for like a month now to have a game day. Also one thing with staying with him, I don't get very much blogging time and I don't get to read any blogs. I feel real bad about this because I love reading the blogs that I read. Speaking about blogging, I'm actually typing this out now and saving it as a draft then tomorrow (because right now it is the 14th) I will post the blog. I know I have you confused.
The video I am posting is of a song called Here With Us. I've only heard this song sung by Art & Jeff Bush and Tracy Tooley. So some of you may agree with me, this woman who sings the song does awful. I know I'm awful for saying that, but I think men sing this song better. The words scroll on the video, so if you don't like the woman singing turn the volume down and read the words.
