For some strange reason I had a dream about this guy I want to school with. But the reason I think it is so odd, is he use to terrorize me. The weird thing is that we use to be friends. Then for some reason he starts being mean to me. I am still not sure why I would have this dream about him (because I have been out of school since 2001), but I thought maybe I should pray for him.
Also lately I have been thinking about Shane McMahon (Vince McMahon's son). So I went over to one of my favorite websites Wikipedia (known to me and my cousin as Wiki Wiki). I typed in Shane's name and was reading stuff about him then noticed his birthday. I was stunned to find out that Shane is 37 years old. OK folks don't get mad, but my thought was, "Gosh Shane's old!" I thought he would be like 30 or something like that. LOL, in 3 more years he will be 40!
P.S. I know my cousin Marcy is probably going to kill me, because I think he is so old. Note to Marcy: You definitely don't look your age.
I want to focus more on blogging about God. There will be sometimes that I will post a funny commercial (it is good to laugh) or tell stories about my family. So get ready for a wild ride with Starla! (FEEL FREE TO LEAVE A COMMENT)

Who Said Everyone Is Perfect?
I have been thinking a lot about people who might struggle with being perfect. Well I have news for you, no one is perfect! And I have a few examples of people who were not perfect, and some of these men are called saints now. I had this thought of looking at seven of the twelve disciples. These seven were not perfect, but they walked with the perfect one (Jesus).
Nathanael was a skeptic. In my own opinion Nathanael looked down on Jesus because of where he was from. In John 1:45 and 46 it says... "Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph (v45). And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him. Come and see (v46)."
Matthew was a tax collector. In Bible days most tax collectors took more money then what they were suppose too. In Matthew 9:9 it is a beautiful sight to see Jesus call someone that most people hated. "And as Jesus passed forth from thence, he saw a man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he saith unto him, Follow me. And he arose, and followed him (v. 9)."
Then we have Doubting Thomas. John 20:25 says this... "The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the prints of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe (v. 25)." Later he did see Jesus and he believed.
James and John were the brothers so full of themselves. They thought Jesus would surely grant their request of where they thought they should sit in Heaven. Mark 10:35-37, "And James and John, the sons of Zebedee, come unto him, saying, Master, we would that thou shouldest do for us whatsoever we shall desire (v35). And he said unto them, What would ye that I should do for you (v. 36)? They said unto him, Grant unto us that we may sit, one on thy right hand, and the other on thy left hand, in thy glory (v. 37)." In another part of the Bible we see that James and John's mother came with them to make this request. This goes to show that James and John were momma's boys. Nothing wrong with being a momma's boy, just don't let your momma run your life (this goes for girls too). Matthew 20:20, "Then came to him the mother of Zebedee's children with her sons, worshipping him, and desiring a certain thing of him (v. 20)."
Now for the last two men, Peter and Judas Iscariot. Two men who betrayed Jesus the same night. Peter denied Jesus three times. Here is what Peter told Jesus, Matthew 26:35, "Peter said unto him, Though I should die with thee, yet will I not deny thee. Likewise also said all the disciples (v. 35)." Not only did all the disciples lie to Jesus, because they all ran when the men came for Jesus. But Peter denied him three times and lied to him also. In Matthew 26:75 we find out the he remembers what Jesus said to him and it upsets him. "And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, which said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice (three times). And he went out, and wept bitterly (v. 75)."
Judas Iscariot betrayed Jesus for money. Luke 22:3-6, "Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve (v.3). And he went his way, and communed with the chief priests and captains, how he might betray him unto them (v. 4). And they were glad, and covenanted to give him money (v. 5). And he promised, and sought opportunity to betray him unto them in the absence of the multitude (v. 6)." In the end Judas sees he was wrong to betray Jesus, he repents, then he goes and tries to return the money. But in the end, Judas plays God himself and takes his own life.
Six of the seven men, even if they may have sinned, went on to do great things for God. Some wrote books in the Bible and they all were martyrs. Even up to their very last breath, God still used them. This only goes to show, that God does not use perfect people.

2000
OK for some reason, yesterday I was thinking about Elian Gonzales. The boy who was the center of a custody battle between the United States and Cuba, between the time period of November 1999-April 22, 2000. For some reason this was a big deal for me when all this was going on. Maybe because his mother was trying to give her son a better life and in the process she lost her life and in the end, the boy had to go back to Cuba.
So as I was thinking about it, I decided to do a review of things that happened in the year of 2000. (Note to Jon [my cousin], I know you did this with the year of 1997, but I don't think you will mind if I take one out of your book.) As I said, this is stuff that happened in 2000 that I remember or things that I think are interesting that happened that year.
January 1 - Y2K comes and goes.
February 13 - The final original Peanuts comic strip is published.
April 22 - Federal agents seize six year old Elian Gonzalez from relatives' home in Miami.

May 24 - 50 Cent is shot 9 times in front of his grandmother's house.
June 10 - The New Jersey Devils defeat the defending champion Dallas Stars, in game 6 to win their 2nd Stanley Cup.
June 28 - Elian Gonzalez returns to Cuba.

September 15-October 1 - 2000 Summer Olympics held in Sydney, Australia.
October 11 - 250 million gallons of coal sludge spill in Martin County, Kentucky.
November 7 - George W. Bush is tentatively declared winner over Democrat Vice President Al Gore.
December 13 - The Texas 7 escape from their prison unit in Kenedy, Texas and start a crime spree.
Deaths of 2000
February 7 - Big Pun (Rapper)
February 10 - Jim Varney (Actor noted character Ernest P. Worrell)

February 12 - Charles M. Schulz (Comic strip artist [Peanuts])
May 12 - Adam Petty (Nascar Driver)
May 27 - Maurice Richard (Canadian Hockey Player)
May 31 - John Coolidge (son of President Calvin Coolidge)
July 1 - Walter Matthau (Actor)
July 7 - Kenny Irwin (Nascar Driver)
October 13 - Tony Roper (Nascar Driver)
October 22 - Rodney Anoa'i (Wrestler known as Yokozuna)
October 30 - Steve Allen (Comedian, composer, talk show host and author)

So today I am reading some of the blogs, that I like reading. I read this one about Tyler Walker posted by Nascar Eclectic. Anyways he has a picture over there of this Tyler Walker, nothing really amazed me about the guy (because I only like the Nextel Cup). The one thing that I noticed was some of the logos on his drivers suit. One logo stuck out like a sore thumb and that was the WWE symbol. Now I know that WWE did have some wrestlers who were associated with Nascar, but I did not know they were sponsoring a driver. This just shows me Vince McMahon has to have a part with anything and everything.

So Did He Cheat?!?

I did not get to watch the race today, because I spent the day with some friends. I did get to watch maybe half an hour of the race. I will say that I am rather happy on how Tony did finish. But what I understand and seen, Tony could have came home with the win.
When I came to church my dad told me (actually my uncle Steve told me) that Jimmie Johnson won the race and Tony got 2ND. I was a little upset, because I can't stand Johnson, but as I said before I was happy that Tony got 2ND. Then my dad said "Jimmie cheated!" I was like, whoa wait a sec, so my dad told me everything.
So when we get home and the news comes on, my mom says, "you have to watch the sports report." OK, now the whole family is defending Tony. So I watch the clip and Tony was forced into the wall, but the thing is I did not watch the race. So I did not get different angles of what happened. So this leaves me with the question, did he cheat?? What do you all think?? And if you do think he cheated should we warn Jimmie Johnson that my dad might be coming after him, lol, j/k.
But before I end this one, what does it say on the back of Jimmie's bumper? And what was the name of the race? Could this be a Nascar scandal.

Good Day!!!!!!!

I just wanted to post a little blog to let everyone know how my day went. Even if it started out sort of bad it ended up being a good day. First I do have to tell you what happened to me this morning. I received a phone call from the daughter of the lady I stay with, asking me if I could start coming earlier. So normally I would give in and say yes, but I told her I had to think about it. Well me being a person who worries and can't say no to the people I work for, this really started to bother me. So I came home and told my mom and the more I talked the more angrier I got. So I looked right at my mom and I said "well I am gonna say no!" Whoa, is this me talking? So friends I don't know what might happen but I might lose my job, so, well, um I will leave it at that.
Now for the rest of the day. I went to my first St. Patrick's Day parade and I had a good time. It was actually the first time the town had a St. Patrick's Day parade, so it might not have been the best, but it was OK. I think the best time was spending time with my mom and dad and my brother and his family. Also just to let you all know that I had lots of people staring at me, I think they thought I should have been in the parade. I love St. Patrick's Day and guess what, I am already getting ready for next year. We went shopping after my brother and his family left my house and while I was at Walmart I got three Irish Cd's in a tin box. I LOVE BEING IRISH!

A Long Night!!!!!!!
.jpg)
For some reason my dog did not have a very good night last night. And because he did not have a good night my mom and I did not have a good night either. If he was outside then he would bark and if he was inside he would bark and his eyes looked like they were going to pop out of his head. We tried everything to get him to go to sleep. I held him, we turned on a radio to let him listen to music. We gave him water and ice cubes, we even left his door opened and put up a gate so he could look out. We gave him one of his favorite blankets. Finally I had to put him outside and then half an hour later he came in. I did leave the light on for him because he still seemed scared.
I was sort of worried, because they say dogs sense things. So I felt like maybe my dog (Gizmo) was afraid that something might happen to one of us. Then I had a thought that maybe he was scared that something might happen to me. I also thought he might not feel good, because anyone who knows my dog, knows that he is part goat. He eats weird stuff. So I tried to stay calm to keep him calm, all I could do was pray and that is what I did and so far nothing has happened.
Just to let you all know, my mom found a moth flying around this morning, so we think that he was afraid of that. I think that is funny, because he is not afraid of big dogs but is scared of a little moth. Dogs' minds are funny, lol!
