The truth about the bones.

Late Monday night I was flipping through the channels and for some reason stopped on Larry King Live. I read the caption at the bottom of the screen and I became angry. If any of you don't know they are trying to say that they found the bones of Jesus. I listened for a little while longer, then decided to change the channel. But before I changed the channel, I heard them say that Jesus came from a poor family(and that is true) but they said that the bones they had found was found in a tomb of someone from a middle class family.
Well guess what, I don't believe that Jesus' bones is there anyways. You will not be finding his bones anywhere at all, because he ascended to heaven. But he was not buried in some middle class tomb. He was buried in a rich man's tomb. In Matthew 27:57 it says, "When the even was come, there came a RICH MAN of Arimathaea, named Joseph, who also was Jesus' disciple:" And it goes on to say, "He went to Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded the body to be delivered(v.58). And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth,(v.59) And laid it(the body) in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock: and he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulchre(tomb), and departed(v.60)."
Now I know you people are going to believe what you want. But I know that Jesus died for my sins, and he was buried and rose the third day. Some people say they believe in God, well why can't you believe that God raised his son from the dead? God is an all powerful God! At the end of "The Passion of the Christ" it shows the body disappearing from the clothes and then the clothes are empty. In the Bible, Peter stooped down to look into the tomb, all he saw was linen clothes lying(John 20:5).

it's one of those things that doesn't make sense to me. How can there be bones from someone who rose from the dead?

Just another way for the world to try to discredit the Christian faith.

How we respond to this attack, I think might be important though. And the best to do is assure them of the truth of scripture.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. :)
